In honor of the Zine’s Asian food history emphasis, we want to share our inspiration for the Spiced Mango Koolfi. In my hometown of Bombay, summer was a glorious time for juicy, bright yellow mangoes and creamy, slow cooked milk and spiced popsicle, Koolfi. Spiced Mango Koolfi is the melding of these two joys of Bombay summer with a sweet spice mix special to the Marathi locals.
